Diane Starkovich, Superintendent of The Archiodiocese of Atlanta, is featured in the current edition of Momentum magazine from the National Catholic Educational Association. Mrs. Starkovich is quoted as saying, "I was a teacher in public schools for 10 years. It gave me a necessary perspective and appreciation for all learners, but there was always something missing. It wasn't until I became a principal that I realized it was the faith component that was the missing piece. I am a convert on top of all of this, converting to Catholicism in 1988. I went through RCIA at St. Maria Goretti in Arlington, Texas and later served as principal there from 1992-2003. There is a saying in Texas: "I didn't grow up here but I got here as fast as I could." You could say the same about my career in Catholic school education. "
